Every year we got together with all the Club, homies who couldn't make it to Thanksgiving but wanted a plate! All the real ones know I dropped 'Thanks Given' a few years ago and this offering serves as an unofficial sequel.

On this album I spoke about the issues facing the Black community. You can turn on the TV and get so bombarded by what's going on in the world that you may not wanna deal with it. I understand yo! So if you wanna know my thoughts and feelings on what's been going on in the World from racism in America, police brutality, government indifference, absentee father's, over protective mother's, how the crack epidemic ACTUALLY impacted our households and everything in between then tune in and turn up! This was all done over a backdrop of lush production with some nods to cult film classics like Coming to America, Paid In Full, Home Alone and Focus to remind y'all where we all started and how far we've come as a family. All serve as official recommendations for viewing parties while you enjoy this album with your friends and family.

The cover features my plate from the first Thanksgiving that I cooked the entire meal for my family. I approach my art the same way whether it's visual, culinary or otherwise so to say the cover has meaning is an understatement. Somewhere between planning, preparation and presentation were all the sweat, tears and years of previous meals and preferences and "tastes" so in a very similar way to this plate; this album represents a little bit of everything! This album has all the staples to keep you fed along with some great twists on the classics. This isn't me at my most soulful, but this is soul food.
This album features the murderous versions of such classic cuts as Grind & To Be Loved! This is direct, disrespectful and introspective and it's one I hope you'll enjoy. Come by the crib and get you a plate 🍽️
